A parrot welcomed us to the Mahogany Factory
The factory itself was not operating that day, but the gift
shop offered up many of the handicrafts - and they
would even ship the larger pieces direct to your home.
A reminder of home on the way to lunch. American
fast food chains are pervasive throughout the city.
We had lunch at a private social club
in the city center.
The opulence of the club contrasted with the povery
found throughout most of the city
